Azerbaijan Entry and Visa Formalities
Passports required by all. Valid passport: required at least for the duration of visa.
Entry visas required by all, except CIS-residents.
Category of visa: foreign citizens are provided with entry, return, transit, tourist, exit visas in conformity with purpose of visit.
Requirements for Visa Application: (tourist, individual, business trip)
1-2. The following documents are required for visa issue:
- completed application form
- one new photo
- valid passport or copy of voucher issued by the duly authorized tourist company with the following data to be stated:
entry/exit date, route, transport facilities, service category and the amount being paid by the client or the official invitation being forwarded by the receiving organization or a person residing in Azerbaijan to support visa application. Purpose of visit route, duration of stay and dates of arrival/departure should be indicated.
3. In case of a transit through the territory of Azerbaijan Republic, foreign citizens are provided with a 5-day (five) transit visa if they possess the confirmed travel documents to the next place of destination.

Visa fee
By the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic the following Consular Free is charged for visa issuing to foreign citizens:
- entry visa for a 3-day up to a 3-month stay - 40 USD
- tourist visa - 20 USD
- transit visa - 20 USD
- double transit - 40 USD
- double visa - 80 USD
- multiple visa - 250 USD
Consular Fee for visa issuing is not charged in case of bilateral agreement.

Visa Processing
In order to obtain a visa through the Embassies or Consulates of Azerbaijan abroad, the foreign citizen should submit a visa application having stated the purpose of visit and date of entry. All the required documents and the receipt of visa fee should be attached.
Foreign citizens arriving in Azerbaijan from the countries which have no Consulate of Azerbaijan Republic, may obtain entry visa upon arrival at the airport.
